Every SeaWorld Park Will Open New Rides in 2023

Today, SeaWorld made the announcement that each of its parks would introduce a brand-new, one-of-a-kind coaster in spring of 2023. They include the first launched flume coaster in San Antonio, the longest and fastest straddle coaster in San Diego and the first surf coaster in Orlando. Families and thrill seekers alike will benefit from the new attractions' fresh experiences.

With exclusive riding hours, Annual Pass Members will be among the first to ride. According to Marc Swanson, CEO of SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment, "2023 promises to be another exciting year for our SeaWorld parks as we launch more unique attractions and experiences that cannot be found anywhere." We work hard to constantly add new thrills to our parks while also giving visitors engaging and one-of-a-kind opportunities to interact with marine life that they might never have the chance to otherwise, all the while knowing they are supporting a charity that has helped more than 40,000 animals in need over the last 55 years.

The Surf Coaster will be the first surf coaster ever

The newest attraction at SeaWorld Orlando is called "Pipeline: The Surf Coaster," and it uses a special surfboard ride vehicle that will immerse visitors as their seats rise and fall to simulate riding a wave. The coaster carries riders through multiple wicked twists and turns with five airtime moves, a novel "wave curl" inversion, and a top speed of 60 MPH. Riders will feel the exhilaration of hanging loose on a giant wave while standing. This first-of-its-kind coaster is suitable for thrill seekers everywhere, with a planned 54" rider height.

The longest and fastest straddle coaster on the West Coast will be Artic Rescue in San Diego

Guests will be launched at up to 40 mph on a frigid journey as they race through the unpredictable arctic climate to save creatures in need on "Arctic Rescue," SeaWorld San Diego's newest family-friendly coaster. Riders will begin their trip inside the Wild Arctic exhibit before launching outside while perched on a distinctive snowmobile-style vehicle on SeaWorld's trendiest new coaster, which will include a unique indoor launch station. Visitors will experience three thrilling launches at speeds of 34, 38, and 40 mph as they travel through the Arctic. Each rider may have an immersive riding experience as they lean into bends and banks and glide up heights as tall as 30 feet around the 2,800 feet of track thanks to the straddle snowmobile-style seats.

The SeaWorld Rescue Team's valiant efforts and commitment to aiding creatures in distress served as the inspiration for the ride. The Wild Arctic display, which is home to a ringed seal, walruses, and belugas - some of the species most affected by Arctic sea loss that is negatively affecting marine life - is connected with "Arctic Rescue." Visitors will be able to visit, see, and learn more about each animal whose species calls the Arctic their home on the new ride, which will also raise awareness of the problems the Arctic is experiencing.

The first launched flume coaster in the world will be at Catapult Falls in San Antonio

The "Catapult Falls" ride at SeaWorld San Antonio will have the highest flume drop in Texas, the steepest flume drop in the whole globe, and the only vertical lift flume coaster in North America.

This unique, family-friendly attraction will launch at speeds of 30 feet per second, giving passengers the adrenaline rush of a coaster while also enabling them to experience the rocking and swaying of riding on a track of water. Visitors will experience the steepest flume attraction drop in the world once they reach the top of the ride. The chute, which is angled at an incredible 53 degrees, sends riders tumbling into a wet splashdown at a speed of more than 37 mph. "Catapult Falls" takes visitors through a series of curves and twists before using a cutting-edge elevator - the only one of its type on the continent - to hoist them up seven feet per second to a height of more than 55 feet. The stunning views are short-lived as the trip gets passengers ready for the greatest fall.
