Disney Cruise Line is said to be interested in the "Global Dream" of the insolvent MV shipyards. With room for 10,000 passengers, it was to be one of the largest cruise ships in the world - and have a roller coaster.
This cruise ship is to become a floating small town: The first of the Global Class steamers should have space for almost 10,000 passengers. And that's not all: A roller coaster is also to be built on the deck of the "Global Dream", also known as "Global I".
The hull was welded together from three ship parts, it is in a building dock of the MV shipyards in Wismar. The ship is 75 percent complete, but after the insolvency of the MV shipyards, the future of the mega liner was uncertain.
Is Disney Buying The Global Dream?
Now there could be an option for the future: Several media in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, including the "Ostsee Zeitung", report that the US shipping company Disney Cruise Line is said to be interested in the ship. According to this, the Meyer shipyard in Papenburg could finish building the 75 percent finished liner – in Wismar.
