The Elaphiti archipelago is one of Croatia's most popular sailing routes, off the coast of Dubrovnik.

The first stop is Koločep, famous for its blue cave. One of the most popular seaside resorts for tourists coming from all over the world.

The next stop is Šipan, the largest of the Elaphiti Islands.

There are hardly any cars, everything is done by boat or bicycle, which is why the island is popular with tourists: they enjoy peace and relaxation.

"Here there is mostly family tourism, living with the locals either in the house or in apartments or houses for rent. Water sports, swimming and local cuisine are popular," explains tour guide Anne Femica Kunčević. "Šipan is called the 'Golden Island', it is entered in the Guinness Book of Records because it has the most olive trees on its sixteen square kilometers in relation to the population. In winter, when there are few tourists, people dedicate themselves to olive trees and olive oil production. "
